Celebrate Pi Day by rolling up your sleeves (and your rolling pin!) to bake six delicious mini pies with Beakerhead and the bakers at Crave Cupcakes and Cookies. The best part is: mathematicians from the University of Calgary will also be present to get this pi party with various genius challenges!

But back to the pies… All participants will take home 6 mini pies topped with π symbol and filled with lip-smacking raspberry sour cream or maple pecan filling.

If you have not heard of Pi Day, consider yourself a newly anointed nerd. It falls on the 14th day of the third month every year. Get it? 3.14!

Open to everyone, even if you have not memorized pi to the umpteenth decimal point!

This creative encounter with math and culture is hosted in collaboration with Clifton Cunningham and Kristine Bauer from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Calgary.

Delicious and charitable!
In addition to the events, all Crave locations will be selling specialty $5.00 mini pies on March 13 and 14. $1.00 from each pie will be donated to Beakerhead's educational initiatives, which aim to give everyone a chance to discover their creative capabilities at the crossroads of art, science, and engineering.

Oh, and speaking of genius, as an added bonus, there will be a nerd shout out to Albert Einstein who happened to be born on Pi Day!
