FAQs about Beakerhead Crews

Is there an age limit?

Crew member roles are suitable for 16 years and older. Applicants under the age of 18 will need a signed consent form from a parent or guardian.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the sign-up session?

Free, two-hour parking is available on 10 Ave SW between 14th Street SW and 18 Street SW. Alternatively, you can take the C-Train and hop off at the Sunalta Station. Beakerhead Headquarters is just across the street.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please email Volunteer Manager, Betty Hushlak at jointhecrew@beakerhead.com.

Beakerhead Crews come in two types:

  1. The year-round crews, which look an awfully lot like working committees, meet regularly in the months leading up to Beakerhead and play a core role in creating this spectacle.

  2. The event crew is a massive group of short-term volunteers who keep the five days of Beakerhead in September running like a Swiss watch! Many more hands are needed for the five days of Beakerhead.
